Customer Rating: Summary: increase tire pressure and save the environment Comment: So we know that getting the tire pressure up decreases gas consumption and produces more savings than we could get by drilling for oil. Seems to me a win win situation. Obama made a simple straightforward and accurate suggestion that everyone with a car can do, and McCain is attacking him? Doesn't make sense. Customer Rating: Summary: Don't listen to McCain Comment: It's true and proven that cars with low tire pressure use more energy (thus more gas).... I don't know why he thinks this is funny? Who the hell am I rallying for for NOW in this election??? You're both idiots! Customer Rating: Summary: increase tire pressure to save gas Comment: Last year, I increased my tire pressure on my cars above what the dealerships recommends. I had a hard time believing that the tires should look like they were nearly flat when inflated with the recommended 32 psi. I reasoned that gas is more expensive than tires in the long run. I still keep it within the load range and have not seen any unusual wear. So, I intend to keep checking my air with this excellent tire pressure gauge and continue to get more gas mileage than I would have otherwise. I know where McCain can stick his! Customer Rating: Summary: Worth it's weight in gold, yet costs less than a dollar Comment: I have purchased this gauge in order to check my tire pressure on a consistent basis, and I am very pleased. It is easy to read, has a titled head so I can easily apply it to the valve stem, and easily fits in my glove box (or sometimes door panel) so I can check my tires each time I am pumping my gas. By doing so, I have increased my gas mileage, on average, by 3.3mpg. It truly works.
Did you know that TIME magazine determined that John McCain's sole idea to "drill here and drill now" won't produce oil until 2030, and it will only be 200,000 barrels per day? In comparison, the government estimates that if everyone ensures their car tires are fully inflated, we could start to reduce our oil consumption by 800,000 barrels per day.
