Summary: Leaky quick disconnect
Comment: Upon received I tried the pump and felt kind of disappointed with quick disconnect. It couldn't be locked in place and kept popping loose. I pressed it fairly hard attempting to secure it but still heard a hissing sound coming out of it. Also since the gauge wasn't that accurate, it was kind of cumbersome to keep screw/unscrew the air hose from the tires to take readings with a tire pressure gauge. I had high hope for the pump but felt dissatisfied after testing it out.

Summary: Slime Tire Inflator
Comment: I have used the Slime tire inflator twice now and I am very satisfied with the purchase. I read all of the reviews and was pleased with what everyone had to say about it. I do agree with one reviewer that Amazon should have had more info on their site about this product. The only negative was the box that it was packed in had split a seam on one end and there was very little packing material to protect the inflator. That is my one ding against Amazon and is the first package from them I have had arrive damaged and not packed according to the weight and price of the item. The one thing that was frustrating for me was trying to find a gas station in my area which didn't have an air hose that was not broken or stolen. I have a Chevy Tahoe and it easily inflated my low tires to the proper level although it was a little slow in doing so. Like many users, I also keep a tire gauge in my truck and I bought a good one years ago as the difference in pressure between the inflator and my gauge was a few pounds. But I am really thrilled that I am no longer driving all over town looking for a gas station with a working air hose. Wish I had purchased this a long time ago! It is also nice to know that if I need to inflate other things, they include a few adapters for that so no more turning purple trying to blow something up. I just took a trip to Dallas and wanted to take it with me in case anything happend on the road so it easily fits under my rear seat and I also purchased and took along a bottle of Slime's tire sealant. It is nice and convenient to have cell phones today when traveling but I prefer to be prepared as you never know where you might be when something happens.

Summary: No more worries of low tire pressure
Comment: Great product. I was a bit skeptical of this - and any other tiny air compressor - prior to placing an order for the Slime COMP06. Fortunately, this air compressor lives up to the great ratings. I run low profile tires on my car and need to keep the pressure at 35 psi. Any lower and I risk the wheel or tire damage. Rather than continuing the routine of checking air pressure in the morning, then running to the gas station for some air, I decided sacrificing a small portion of my trunk space would be more convenient. I heard stories of how pathetic or crappy off the shelf units from Schucks or Wal-Mart could be so I turned to the reviews here on Amazon.

PROS: Compact size. Convenient set of alternate tips for use with sports equipment. Quick release hose from unit. Threaded head to ensure a secure seal when filling tires. Fairly quiet, quick, and with very little vibration.

CONS: Pressure gauge is roughly +5 psi off (checked with a multiple gauges).

With temperatures continuing to drop in the area, the peace of mind knowing that the tires will always be at optimal pressure is one less thing to worry about.

Note: Amount of time to bring 30 psi up to 35 psi is ~ 15 seconds.

Summary: So long, gas station air pump!
Comment: I've always neglected the air pressure in my tires, mostly because I dislike running around the gas station parking lot trying to get the most out of my 75 cent air investment. Besides that, I can only drive one car there at a time so it takes two trips to get them taken care of. Winters in Chicago don't help this process.

That's why I'm so thrilled with my recent purchase of this Slime inflator. I can stay on top of my cars' tire pressure from the comfort of my own garage. Here are some thoughts on the product:

- I was very caught up in the 12v 15 amp discussions from other reviewers. My 2002 Honda Civic only had 10 amp lighter sockets. My 2004 Toyota Sienna thankfully does have 15 amp lighter sockets. Don't make fun of my cars - that's how I roll...
- Needless to say, the Slime worked fine while plugged into either socket, even the one with 10 amps. I didn't feel like sacrificing a fuse to prove a point, so I only turned it on in the 10 amp socket for a few seconds.
- It turns out that each of my tires only required a few seconds of compressor time to get them fully inflated. I filled up 8 tires this evening, and they were underinflated by about 3-4 PSI on average (it just got really cold here). I turned on the compressor for less than 15 seconds for each tire.
- The DC power cord and the green air hose team up to provide a surprisingly long distance reaching capability. I was able to fill up the eight tires on my two cars all while plugged into the one car. I stretched it a little, but it certainly has some length.
- The nozzle screws into the tire stem to make the whole operation hands-free. I would suggest over-inflating each tire since a little air is lost while unscrewing the nozzle.
- The air pressure gauge is not very accurate. When compared to the readings from my new Moroso 89560 tire pressure gauge, the built-in Slime gauge was higher by 3-4 PSI. Even though it is wrong, at least it was consistenly wrong for all eight tires. Also, the scale goes very high so it is difficult to see a precise reading with any detail.
- The carrying case is nice and compact. Yes, they could have made the main zipper pouch open a little wider, but it's no big deal.
