Note: Not recommended on computers or similar equipment. Easy to use on a fire: Just remember the "P-A-S-S" method. Pull the pin on the fire extinguisher; Aim the fire extinguisher at the base of the fire (stand 6 feet from the fire); Squeeze the handle of the extinguisher; Sweep the extinguisher left to right while aiming at the base of the fire.

Customer Rating: Summary: Discharged in box Comment: I'm afraid I have a review similar to "Westphalia." Mine had also discharged in the box. Everything was covered in white powder, and the pressure gauge indicated that the bottle was empty.
I'm not sure if this is because of poor construction by Kidde, or if it is because of bad packaging. I can say that there was very little packaging material in the box, so it had plenty of room to jostle around.
Just contacted Kidde customer support, and they directed me to Amazon. Hopefully I can get somewhere with them.

I contacted Amazon customer service through email, and they are placing an order for another extinguisher at no cost. Great service. Hopefully this one makes it intact. Customer Rating: Summary: Poor Customer Service Comment: Just a warning - I have no idea whether this product works or not, and hopefully I never need to find out! But when the fire extinguisher arrived it had discharged itself inside the box and was completely empty. I contacted Amazon customer service who advised I needed to get a replacement under the warranty from the manufacturer. At first things when went well and I was promised a replacement extinguisher. 2 months and several unreturned emails later, still no exinguisher and no comment from Kidde on where it might. I've even contacted their customer service manager directly and have not received a response. A lot of work for a cheap fire extinguisher - I should have just gone to the hardware store!
