Customer Rating: Summary: Sheepskin wheel cover Comment: although I am not totally convinced that this is entirely genuine sheepskin, (the inside feels wrong) it fits fine, feels comfortable, and does not slip. I had no difficulty putting it on my steering wheel, and it really feels better on my hands as I drive. The only downside is that since it's especially thick, the wheel becomes quite bulky, and is not suited for people with small hands or like to fully grip their steering wheels. For that it loses 1 star. Customer Rating: Summary: Updated Comment: Here's an update: I liked this product at first, but after 6 months of use, I'm less happy with it. The elastic has loosened, causing me to constantly readjust it around the wheel, and it constantly throws off lint, making my dashboard very linty and dusty. I'm now looking for an alternative. A shame, really.
I need a steering wheel cover that protects me from the burning heat of the desert sun and provides a good surface for gripping. This one fills the bill. Even on the hottest day (and it's routinely over 100 F here in the summer), the wool is warm, but not burning. I was a little afraid that it wouldn't provide me with a good grip, but have no fear! In fact, it's so soft and cushy, it makes it downright fun to grip the steering wheel. Wish I'd gotten it in the gray color, though. Customer Rating: Summary: Nothing Like The Real Skin Comment: I had one of those covers you can purchase at a very well known discount department stores made of fake sheepskin that my wife and I loved during the cold winter months, but after I opened this real skin and put it on another car we drive I had to take the fake one off. The fake one had a lot of dust or acralamb stuff flying off whenever you touched the wheel. I put up with it ,but really did not like it. This new real sheepskin wheel cover is soooooo soft it is unbelievable for the price. I will be purchasing some more for all my other cars we have. Great in the winter can only hope the same for the hot summer months when the sun heats up the wheel so hot you can't hold it. When it was warm enough the fake one came off for the summer. First it helps to keep the Steering Wheel nice and cool. My car being black it get's hot in the parking lot. This cover helps to keep my steering wheel nice and cool and it prevents me from having to drive with a steering wheel that's too hot to touch. Also it's softness allows the driver to handle it without it being rough. For thoes who live in the north were it is cold this cover could feel very nice when you touch it from being in the cold. The softness of it can make your hands feel warmer. I believe its a good product no matter where you live in the cold or warm area.
