Customer Rating: Summary: Good Replacement Nut, When the Order is Right the First Time Comment: I purchased 4 of these (4 * 5 = 20) to replace the wheel cover nuts on my 2004 Impala hubcaps. Since I was repainting the hubcaps black, the gray nuts fit better than the original black ones. These nuts, unlike the black ones, are impossible to break from over tightening. I can screw these all the way in by hand, and if you go to far, it doesn't break like the stock ones do, it just "hops" on the thread. These hold on pretty well, and I haven't had a hubcap fall off or a nut broken yet.
The reason for my 4 star rating is not because of the product, but because of a shipping problem with Amazon. Since the merchant is listed as Amazon and not a private seller, I can't personally rate the merchant itself so I will disclose my review for that here. I first received a box of 4 nuts instead of the original 20. I had to contact Amazon to get a replacement order to have all 20 shipped to me. They were helpful and gave me the original 20 nuts that I paid about $35.00 for within a week. Regardless, this should not happen, and I have never had this kind of experience through Amazon. When I buy something from Amazon, I do a ton of research to make sure I am getting what I am paying for.
