NGK performance wires are custom manufactured for your vehicle, all have original equipment identical connections, but are constructed with superior quality cabling. The NGK ferrite magnetic core wire has only 1/2 the resistance of traditional carbon core wires, yet has all the same RFI suppression capabilities. These premium wires are absolutely worth it. My '99 Miata was stuttering when squeezing on the gas at low engine speed (say 35 mph in 5th -- top gear in my Miata). The comments on the web said that a common cause of the skipping at low RPM was the plug wires. I changed to these wires and the problem went away. I did not change anything else so it had to be the plug wires.
I think one of the big reasons you need top quality wires is that the wires run right across the top of the engine block with very little distance to the metal. In between the heat and the proximity of an excellent ground it is easy to see why you need the best for plug wires.
