These reusable K&N Filtercharger air filters outflow any other filter--up to 900 cfm--for power gains of up to 15 HP. They use a surgical cotton fabric soaked in oil as their tack barrier. Sandwiched between an aluminum screen wire, the holes in the cotton catch tumbling air and straighten it out. Since air moving in a straight line flows faster, the filter actually improves airflow. They can be covered by up to 1/4 in. of debris before air restriction makes cleaning necessary. The filters come pre-oiled, and many are available as a direct fit for your application.

Customer Rating: Summary: Don't be fooled by the hype!!! Comment: 2004 Saturn Vue 3.5L V-6 AWD. I bought this product hoping to see fuel milage improvements. After 2 months checking nearly every time I fueled up, there have been no imporvements. K&N also claimes you may see some improvement in horse power. The engine sounds louder at idle, but in both normal driving and towing a trailer I have seen no marked imporvements in horsepower. I don't think this filter performs any better then the less than the 10 dollar Wal-mart special I replaced it with! Faster pickup, faster passing, better fuel economy. I put this filter into my 2007 Suzuki XL7 SUV and it made a tremendous difference in the cars acceleration. The extra airflow helps the car perform better across the entire power range.
