Customer Rating: Summary: For the price, a nice ampmeter Comment: I bought this because I needed a cheap way to monitor power going into an inverter system. For $12 I don't think you'll find cheaper auto meters. Yes, they are made in China, but you knew that from the price.
The ampmeter is better built than the voltmeter in that it has a separate mounting hold down to the included under-dash bracket. It does include a backlight with a bayonet base and two wires so it does not depend on the ground from the case.
If you are wondering how much power some part of your car (lights/stereo/whatever) is using and don't want to shell out alot of dough, this will do the job. Note however that your power must go THROUGH the guage - it does not work with a separate shunt system like some high amp guages do. As a result you may have some heavy wire behind your panel!
Accuracy so far seems to match much more expensive ampmeters. For the price I can't think of a better deal. It has a steel body and comes with a steel frame to hold it along with all mounting hardware.
