become. It is accurate and useful to determine temperatures to see where you are wasting or using energy. Something unexpected but extremely useful is determing the temperature of cooking oil in a frying pan. My grill's temperature gauge is more of an estimate, so I wanted to be able to measure how hot the pizza stone is before I put a pizza on. The Raytek works well and I've used it for several other purposes beyond its intended service.
