One thing I wish this clock had is a brighter nightlight--it's not quite bright enough to read by without straining your eyes. However, since most clocks don't even have lights at all, I don't consider it a significant drawback. It's good for finding things in the dark without disturbing roommates or partners. The cute little lemon wedge acts as the nightlight.It is rather dim, but I guess it's supposed to be.The base of the clock is a small pink saucer which lends to the appearance of a tea-cup.Overall it seems very sturdy & well made. There are no loose buttons or fragile parts. The little pink buttons on top are radio and alarm settings.Any daughter, neice, or other girl in your life would be thrilled with this clock-radio, nightlight. Cute as can be!!!
