Customer Rating: Summary: dewalt buffer Comment: I've worked with Makita, Milwaukee, and DeWalt buffers. I use them for buffing and waxing boats. I've found that for the weight and agility, the DeWalt is the absolute best. When you're doing a lot of buffing around corners, curves, angles, and detail work around lights and horns, it pays to have a lighter machine. The variable speed trigger is great - you can start off really slowly (reducing compound splatter), and you can increase as needed. The lighter machine does NOT mean cheap or not as good!! Obviously, when you keep your tools clean and maintain them, they last. I've seen DeWalts last years with little or no maintenance. I love my DeWalt! This is a powerful tool and can get away from someone not used to using it. Also it is a little hefty and will wear on your arms after extended use. I happen to like the weight as it seems to give me a little more control than one that is lightweight and just feels better in my hands.
