Spotlight customer reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Great manual for the price! Comment: This hardbound manual is much more complete than the Haynes repair manual. It is filled with many genuine Toyota Motor Sales illustrations-- the same ones you find in the much more expensive Toyota manual set. I have that Toyota set for my 2003 Prius, but after looking at the quality of this Bentley publication, I don't think I will need to purchase them for my newest Prius. Customer Rating: Summary: A must have for Prius owners! Comment: My husband and I had questions about our Prius and thought we should get educated regarding them. Our fuel indicator was not moving down or up and we couldn't figure out why! We researched this issue using the book and found out that the Prius has a bladder - who knew! The book instructed us to let the fuel get low enough so you are putting in at least 5 or more gallons of fuel. Well we did that and the fuel indicator started working again!
We found out many things by looking through the book that we did not know before.
Great explanations and pictures too! Customer Rating: Summary: Toyota Prius Repair Manual Comment: This is a well organized and very clearly written repair manual for the Toyota Prius. It contains all the basic information you would need for normal maintennance and servicing routine items. It is not a substitute for the Toyota factory documentation and it is lacking some details in more complex repairs but overall I found it most useful. This harcover copy is a bit pricey but since I will have the car for a long time, it made sense to get it this way. Customer Rating: Summary: Prius Repair Manual Comment: This manual is very informative with lots of good pictures.
The information is very direct without a lot of uninformative jabber.
I found lots of unique information not seen on most Websites.
I even had a service rep try and tell me the "B" gear is for battery only use.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice, but not complete Comment: A good book, very thorough on technical details.
But, it does not add anything on top of regular US maintenance stuff.
For example, EBH, EV button or other items that are standard Toyota equipment (if not in the U.S. then in Canada and Europe).
If it had those, including sources for those original Toyota parts, I'd give it a 5.
